Pithos Ancient Reproductions is an artisan workshop and gallery located in Via Roma 2, at the entrance of the historical centre of Cerveteri. Founded by Roberto Paolini, a local artist known as “Pithos”, the workshop specialises in the production of faithful reproductions of Etruscan, Greek and Roman ceramics. Using traditional techniques and materials similar to those of antiquity, each piece is crafted with great attention to detail, reflecting the authenticity and craftsmanship of historical artisanship.
Roberto began reproducing Etruscan ceramics at the age of 13, driven by a passion for the history and culture of his homeland. In 2017 he founded Pithos Ancient Reproductions, collaborating with museums and cultural institutions to offer accurate reproductions of historical objects. The workshop is open to the public Monday to Saturday, 9:30am-1:00pm and 4:30pm-8:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am-1:00pm.
